Medically Fragile

Medically fragile

Every day in the U.S., infants are born with serious or ongoing medical needs.
Sometimes, an expectant mother has already begun making an adoption plan. Other times, the decision comes after birth—when the medical complexity of the child’s condition becomes known and the parent determines they are not emotionally or financially prepared to meet those needs.
This program reflects Gladney’s commitment to:
  • Helping medically fragile children find opportunities for permanent, nurturing homes.
  • Removing financial barriers for hopeful adoptive families who are equipped to provide specialized care.
  • Creating bright futures through adoption, one unique child at a time.

At Gladney, we believe every child deserves a loving family—and financial barriers shouldn’t stand in the way. The Domestic Infant Program Support Fund helps qualified families offset adoption costs through grants.
