1. Who can be treated with IASIS MCN?

There is no medical condition, age, medication, allergy, etc. that would restrict one from safely using IASIS MCN. It has been found  effective for symptoms such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and emotional regulation, ADD/ADHD, headaches, pain, and insomnia.

2. How does it work?

The device, under the care of a trained IASIS MCN provider, uses an FDA registered EEG device that uses brief microcurrent stimulation to the nervous system. During an IASIS MCN session, electrodes are placed on the head and neck to reflect brain waves. The treatment encourages the brain to recognize itself and shift away from fixed patterns.

3. Is it safe?

IASIS MCN is considered safe and has no known side effects. The level of electricity used is very low, about 1/100 of an AA battery over 1/100 of a second. IASIS MCN is a gentle, painless treatment and requires no conscious effort by the client.

4. How long does each session take?

Initial consultation may take 45-60 minutes. The average treatment appointment is around 30 minutes.

5. How many sessions are needed?

Most people experience some positive side effects after 1-3 sessions. Initial sessions are often 2 times a week, but can be spaced out as results improve. This will vary some for each person.

6. What will my response be to the session?

Occasionally people will experience fatigue or a mild headache following treatment. Your provider will monitor this reactivity and make treatment decisions based on your reaction. This is completely normal and will pass and may be unexpected. It is a sign that one is neuroregulating; and is a positive sign your brain and nervous system is responding. Even though it may be temporarily uncomfortable, it will not persist and will be followed by improvement.
