Common Questions from Parents Considering Adoption

Making this decision comes with many questions. Here are answers to a few common ones.

While direct financial support is typically for pregnancy-related expenses, we can connect you with community resources and other forms of assistance to help stabilize your situation. Each case is different and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

This is a primary concern for every parent. Your counselor is specially trained in creating a healthy transition plan for children. The adoptive family you choose will also receive extensive training on how to talk to your child about adoption in a positive and loving way throughout their life.

In most cases you will not have to go to court. Adoption is a legal process and while you will have to sign permanent legal documents to ensure the safety and permanency of your child, most parents do not have to go to court. If needed, you will be provided with your own attorney at no cost to you, who will explain your rights and guide you through every legal step.
