Who Are the Children Waiting for Adoption?
In partnership with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), Gladney actively supports families looking for children who are immediately available for adoption. These children have entered the foster system due to abuse or neglect and are now waiting for a new beginning.
Families interested in this program should be open to adopting a child with one or more of the following characteristics:

- Children 8 years old and older
- Sibling groups with children ranging in ages of 5 and older
- Children who need extra care and sensitivity given their history of loss and trauma

The Cost to Adopt from Foster Care
Building your family through foster care is affordable.

There are no fees charged by either Gladney or the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to adopt a child from the custody of Child Protective Services.
All required training, home studies, and support services are provided at no cost to the adoptive family, ensuring finances are never a barrier to providing a child with a safe and loving home.

Our New Beginnings Program is highly specialized. We are looking for dedicated families who are prepared to meet the unique needs of these children. Families are selected based on:
