hosting program
Gladney’s International Hosting Program brings a select number of children from our partnering countries to the United States each summer for a short stay with host families. During their time here, children experience daily family life and cultural activities, while Gladney staff walk alongside families to learn more about each child and strengthen advocacy for their adoption. Hosting is short-term, but it often becomes the bridge to lasting family connections.

Open Your Home. Open Your Heart.
Gladney’s Hosting Program gives families the opportunity to welcome a waiting child from an Asian or Latin American country into their home for a short stay. Hosting is a bridge that can open the door to permanent family connections for waiting children.
Why Host with Gladney?
- For the Children: Hosting allows children the experience of life in a U.S. home. It’s often their first chance to build relationships that may lead to lasting family connections.
- Trusted & Ethical: Gladney is recognized for providing the safest and most ethical hosting program.
- Strong Partnerships: Gladney coordinates directly with in-country partners and offers families the opportunity to connect with waiting children through the safest and most ethical hosting program.
- Expert Support: Our dedicated International Team walks with you every step of the way, ensuring families have the best resources and guidance.
- Home Study: Gladney prepares families with a Hague-compliant home study, making it easier to transition if they choose to pursue adoption.
Unlike children in domestic foster care, international waiting children rarely meet U.S. families. Hosting creates that opportunity—time together face-to-face that builds understanding, trust, and can open doors to lifelong connections.
Who Can Host?
Families living in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas are eligible to participate.
