International adoptees are invited to join Gladney for a once-in-a-lifetime journey  back to China—open to Gladney and non-Gladney families. This guided experience blends cultural exploration with personal reflection and clinical support. What’s Included:– Explore cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, and Chengdu.

Day 1: January 3 | Shanghai

• Arrive in Shanghai (Depart USA on January 2 to arrive on January 3)

Day 2: January 4 | Shanghai

• Tour Jade Buddha Temple
• Afternoon Yu Garden, Nanjing Road, the Bund

Day 3: January 5 | Shanghai to Xi’an

• Breakfasts at hotel (included)
• Check-out of hotel
• Take flight or Speed train to Xi’an (around 2.5-7 hours ride)
• Lunch on your own
• Visit Muslim Street & Wandering Drum and Dell tower area
• Dinner (included)

Day 4: January 5 | Xi’an

• Breakfast at hotel (included)
• Tour Terra-cotta Warrior Museum (AM)
• Lunch and Dinner (included)
• Afternoon handicraft class for making terra-cotta warriors
• Optional-Silk Road Show in the afternoon

Day 5: January 7 | Xi’an

• Breakfast at hotel (included)
• Visit Xi’an Museum or Small Wild Goose Pagoda (AM)
• Tour Ming Dynasty City Wall (entrance tickets on your own if you want to climb the wall)

• Afternoon tour Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Day 6: January 8 | Xi’an to Chengdu

Day 7: January 9 | Chengdu

• Tour Chegndu Panda Breeding Center to see cute pandas (AM)

• Leisure time with tea at People’s Park in Chengdu, and shopping at Tai gu li Street (PM)

Day 8: January 10 | Departure day

• Transfer to province for child-welfare institution visit
• Airport/train station drop-off included

• In-country transportation-train (speed train, first-class seats)
• Tickets for sightseeing per itinerary

• Travel Insurance in China (Max RMB $300,000)
• If you have add-on tour in Xi’an, we will include your additional train/airport drop-off service instead of refunding you train ticket from Beijing to Xi’an

• Additional $350USD for single room occupancy in hotels-pending

• Transfers between the airport and the hotel for your add-on trip except the transfer in Xi’an
